My Teaching Philosophy

 

As an educator of young minds I will bring a positive attitude and an open mind every day. I will create a safe and nurturing atmosphere where students will feel comfortable bringing their thoughts and opinions. I will constantly work to look at each learner as an individual. I believe that understanding the uniqueness of each student’s learning style plays a large role in the success a student has in the classroom. Students will be shown respect and will understand that everyone’s opinion will be considered and valued. I will expect students to do their best and offer positive reinforcement along the way. As a teacher I will provide a strong example of what it is to work hard and I will continually show them the rewards of taking on challenges. I will create a team environment where students will feel relaxed asking for help from me, as well as their peers. I will make it my daily objective to model what I expect from my students.  I will introduce and enforce the idea that all students are capable of learning. I believe that learning is a process that never ends and as long as this process is kept active, development and growth will always occur.
